Welcome to the Bone Diggers' Club!

Your child is curious about everything. Here's what happens when you give that curiosity somewhere to go.

My name is Dinoman. I am a professional geologist with nearly 40 years of field experience. I have read rocks on four continents, stood on the rim of active volcanoes, traced fault lines through the Alps, and spent more mornings than I can count crouched over rock outcrops trying to understand what the earth is telling me.

I built the Bone Diggers' Club because I believe that the story of life on Earth — told properly, by someone who has actually spent a lifetime reading it — is the most extraordinary story a child can hear. And I believe that curiosity, fed well, becomes a habit that lasts a lifetime.

It is the most extraordinary story a child can hear

This is not a dinosaur toy subscription. This is not a worksheet service. This is not a screen-time replacement dressed up in fossil packaging.

This is a weekly expedition. A weekly adventure. A weekly dose of amazing facts and amazing experiences. What's more, it starts right now.

The Bone Diggers' Club is open!

Founding member pricing closes Sunday 17 May. Then normal rates apply

So what exactly is the Bone Digger's Club?

So what exactly is the Bone Digger's Club?

It's all about dinosaurs. But it's more than that. It's a gateway to a new world - a world of science, a world of exploration, a world of adventure. And adventure needs self reliance, so we teach that too - life skills that will stand your children in good stead for the rest of their lives.

It's all about dinosaurs. But it's more than that. It's a gateway to a new world - a world of science, a world of exploration, a world of adventure. And adventure needs self reliance, so we teach that too - life skills that will stand your children in good stead for the rest of their lives.

What your child gets every single week

Each week inside the Bone Diggers' Club, your child will receive a complete expedition package delivered to their private members' area:

The Flagship Dinosaur — a video from Dinoman, filmed at the DinoZone, introducing that week's featured animal. Not just what it looked like — but where it was found, who found it, what it tells us about the world it lived in, and where you can see the real bones today. Told by someone who has spent four decades in the field. Five to eight minutes. Children watch it twice

The Expedition Skill — one practical, real-world skill taught in the language of adventure. How to tie a reef knot. How to find north without a compass. How to clean a wound in the field. How to read a topographic map. These are the skills that Roy Chapman Andrews used crossing the Gobi Desert in 1922. They are the skills that every field scientist learns and every child should know. One per week, clearly explained, with a challenge to complete before next week.

Roy Chapman Andrews - bone hunter extraordinaire.

The Activity Pack — colouring pages, puzzles, word games, and a field journal prompt. Screen-free, achievable, and designed to extend the week's learning into something the child can hold in their hands. Suitable for ages 5 to 12 — the five-year-old colours while the twelve-year-old decodes the cipher.

The Weekly Quiz — five questions on that week's content. Answer four correctly and earn that week's Field Badge. Collect enough badges and earn a certificate, signed by Dinoman, recognising you as a Junior Bone Digger.

The Dinoman Briefing — a short personal email from Dinoman every Monday, setting up the week's expedition. Written to one person: your child.

What you — the parent — actually get

Forty minutes of genuine engagement, once a week, that does not involve a screen your child is passively consuming. A shared activity that you can do alongside them or hand to them and watch them disappear into for an hour. A child who comes to the dinner table and tells you something extraordinary about a creature that lived 67 million years ago, because they learned it themselves and it stuck.

The Bone Diggers' Club is designed for children aged 5 to 12. It is also, quietly, designed for parents who remember what it felt like to be genuinely fascinated by something and want their child to feel that too.

The life skills element is not decorative. By the end of the year, a Bone Digger who has worked through the curriculum will know how to tie four essential knots, read a map, navigate by the stars, treat a wound, set up camp, and conduct themselves in the field with the competence and confidence of a junior scientist. These are not dinosaur-themed worksheets. They are real skills, taught through real stories, by a real geologist who has used all of them.

The Bone Digger's Creed

Every Bone Digger, on joining, receives the Creed. It lives on the inside cover of their Field Journal. It is read aloud at chapter meetings. It is the identity of the club.

I am a Bone Digger.

I look carefully at the world around me, because the Earth keeps records and I am learning to read them.

I am patient in the field, honest in my observations, and humble about what I do not yet know.

I care for those who dig beside me.I leave the landscape as I found it.I share what I discover.

I know that every rock has a story, every fossil a life, every question an answer waiting to be found.

I am a Bone Digger.The expedition continues.

Chapters

Bone Diggers don't dig alone. As the club grows, we will be establishing local chapters — groups of Bone Diggers in the same area who meet, explore, and share their discoveries together. If you have five or more Bone Diggers in your area and want to start a chapter, write to us. Every chapter receives a charter document, signed by Dinoman, and a place in the Bone Diggers' Club directory.

The Midlands Chapter — based at the DinoZone itself — is already active. Yours could be next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this suitable for my child's age? The Club is designed for children aged 5 to 12. Younger children will need a parent alongside for some activities. Children of ten and above can work through most of the content independently.

What if we miss a week? Everything stays in your members' area indefinitely. There is no expiry. Fall behind, catch up at your own pace.

Can I cancel? Yes, at any time, with no penalty. Monthly memberships cancel before the next billing date. Annual memberships are non-refundable but can be paused.

Is the content only about dinosaurs? Dinosaurs are the entry point. The content covers palaeontology, geology, earth history, ecology, and field science — the full story of life on Earth, told through the animals that made it extraordinary.

Who is Dinoman? Gerald Davie is a professional geologist with nearly 40 years of field experience, working across southern Africa and internationally. He is the founder of the DinoZone Museum and Geo Centre in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, home of Marmaduke — the only T. rex skeleton in the southern hemisphere. He reads every email personally.

100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE

You are fully protected by our 100% Hunt Down a T Rex Guarantee.

If the first 30 days of Bone Digger's adventures do not exceed your expectations, email us and we will refund your money in full. No forms, no questions, no waiting. You get to keep the field journal and anything that we have posted to you.

PS. We are always thinking of new things for the DinoZone and the Bone Diggers' Club, because we love this stuff and want to share it with you. So the Bone Diggers' will be expanded on, improved, refined and made even more amazing as time goes by - that in itself is an adventure. And like you, we love adventure, which is another reason why you need to join us on this journey. See you on the other side.

We are so looking forward to hunting dinosaurs with you

Gerald Davie is the Dinoman — professional geologist, founder of the DinoZone, and the person who will be in your child's inbox every Monday morning for the next year. He has spent nearly four decades reading the rocks of southern Africa and beyond. He built the Bone Diggers' Club because he believes the story of life on Earth deserves to be told properly, to children who are ready to hear it.

The expedition continues.
