We need to take some liberties here with regard to the South African Dinotrail. It is not going to be purely focussed on dinosaurs for a number of reasons, not least of which is that South Africa is not very well endowed with dinosaur fossils. But let us not take this as a negative, as we have perhaps the oldest evidence of life on Earth, the Cradle of Humankind stuffed full of Australopithecine remains, the earliest sauropod remains, the oldest ever dinosaur eggs and Earth’s greatest assemblage of mammal like and Permian reptiles which predate the dinosaurs. So I am going to take you on this incredible journey that spans a time scale ranging from 3.6 billion years to 4 billion years ago. So we are going to mash this up – Lystrosaurus is going to rub shoulders with Lesothosaurus who is going to rub shoulders with Australopithecus Africanus and what a wonderful association it is going to be.
